The Associate in Arts

University policy regarding the Associate of Arts Certificate.


How to apply for an AA Certificate

To be eligible for an AA Certificate, a student must have completed all of the following by the end of the term of application:


___ 1.  At least 60 credit hours earned toward graduation.


___ 2.  A minimum of a 2.0 overall GPA and FSU GPA.


___ 3.  All Liberal Studies courses with at least a 2.0 GPA.


___ 4.  All Gordon Rule requirements.


___ 5.  All sections of CLAST.


___ 6.  At least 20 of the last 30 credits at F.S.U.

 

 

Eligible students desiring the certificate must complete a formal application and submit it to Undergraduate Studies.  The application may be submitted

 

          1.  In person, in A3400 University Center

 

          2.  By fax:  (850) 644-6723

 

          3.  By mail:

                    Undergraduate Studies

                    Florida State University

                    Tallahassee, FL  32306-2301

 

At the end of the term, Undergraduate Studies will certify eligible students for the Associate in Arts Certificate and notify the Graduation Section of the Registrar’s Office, which will mail the certificate to the student.  As this may take awhile, the address on the application should be valid for at least six months.
