Welcome to the website of the Third Annual ACC Meeting of the Minds Conference! The Florida State University Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavors is hosting this annual showcase of student research accomplishments on April 18-19, 2008 in Tallahassee, FL. We invite students and faculty from the ACC to participate in this exciting and enriching conference experience. As we develop this website, information about proposal submission, conference agenda and timeline, social events, housing and transportation will be posted.
Florida State University has a long history of nurturing the research and creative interests of its undergraduate students. The many and diverse opportunities to gain practical, hands-on experiences in the arts, humanities, engineering and the sciences enrich students’ academic pursuits and contribute to the development of their problem solving and critical thinking skills. Working collaboratively with faculty and graduate students allows undergraduates to explore ideas and content areas to pursue as careers and in graduate school. In addition, undergraduates’ participation and contributions are vital to the university’s research community. The mission of the Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavors is to support students and faculty in their joint pursuit of intellectual challenges and to cultivate the future leaders of our increasingly complex and global world. |
