Prerequisites and Co-requisites
A prerequisite is a course that you must complete in order to enroll in a more advanced course. Usually, the prerequisite course requires a student to gain familiarity and experience with foundational concepts or skills, which must be applied in the subsequent course. A prerequisite must be taken before the advanced course, while a co-requisite must be taken during the same term as the advanced course.
The registration system will not prevent you from registering for a course that has a prerequisite or co-requisite. It is your responsibility to check the Undergraduate Bulletin to determine if there is a prerequisite or co-requisite for any given course.
