Linda Mahler has enjoyed a long career working with students. She first came to FSU from Ohio in 1968 to pursue a masters degree in Counseling and Human Systems, which she completed in 1970. After a two-year hiatus, during which she worked for the State University of New York at Farmindale, she returned to FSU to continue her education, completing her Ph.D in 1977.

Dr. Mahler joined the FSU staff in 1974 and has held a number of positions in both Student Affairs and Academic Affairs. All, in one way or another, have focused on helping students develop successful educational plans.

Her current position is that of Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies and Director of the Academic Support/Acceptance Program (a special program that assists third-year students who have not yet decided on or been accepted into a major). She enjoys meeting students and is available to all students who are experiencing difficulty in planning their academic programs. Contact her through e-mail or phone 644-0387.
