Dr. James Lee

Dr. James “Jim” Lee retired from his general dentistry practice in Ft. Walton Beach in 2006. He graduated from Emory University School of Dentistry in 1975. Lee served on the board of directors of the Ft. Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce, Okaloosa-Walton Mental Health Association (president for two terms) and Philharmonic Orchestra of Northwest Florida. He was a Stage Crafters Community Theater member, serving as musical director and pianist. Lee graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Mathematics in 1971 and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Kappa.

Lee joined the Seminole Boosters in 1976 and has been a member ever since, currently as a Silver Chief and member of several coaches’ clubs. He served as chair of the FSU Undergraduate Studies Development Council from its inception in 2010 until fall 2022 and continues to be on the board. He endowed an Undergraduate Idea Research Award in his mother's name and recently created an endowment for Presidential Scholars, having provided support for the program in the past. He is a Vires, Artes, Mores honoree and was inducted into the FSU Alumni Association’s Circle of Gold in 2021.
