Justin Brass

Justin Brass received his B.S. from FSU in 1997 and his J.D. from Stetson University’s College of Law in 2000. Jusin also has an LL.M. in Bankruptcy from St. John’s University’s School of Law, clerked for Judge Robert D. Drain in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York and practiced at Paul Weiss before switching to the finance side of law in 2008.

Justin is currently the Co-CEO of JBSL, a Legal Finance Company. Over the last 7 years, Justin and his team have syndicated and managed billions of dollars in litigation investments with partners ranging from hedge funds, alternative asset managers, private equity, insurance companies, large family offices, and traditional litigation funders. JBSL’s unique and structured approach has helped institutionalize the asset class in a way that provides borrowers with facilities more akin to traditional commercial lending and allow a fit to varying investment needs. JBSL frequently advises other litigation funders, hedge funds and their LPs concerning the secondary market and the structuring of investments.

While at FSU, Justin was involved on campus as an Orientation Leader, Seminole Ambassador, Resident Advisor and was involved in the Student Alumni Association.
